In the morning we will take a train from Tbilisi to Zugdidi. From Zugdidi we will be transferred to Mestia by car.

Alternatively you can have a direct transfer to Mestia by car.

Mestia is a beautiful central town of the amazing Svaneti Region. There we will have traditional dinner.

Overnight in Mestia.

(Distance - 10.6km, Elevation Gain - 909m, Elevation Loss - 527m)

This morning you will have a short car ride from Mestia to Zhabeshi village, then you will start hiking tour in Svaneti. This route crosses via Tetnuldi resort. To reach the resort 2500-2700m elevation, you will need a steep climb. Then, a walk through the alpine pastures will take you to the Adishi village, hidden at the bottom of Adischala valley which has a medieval feeling.

Overnight in Adishi

Trek deeper into the valley, towards Adishi glacier, then we will need to cross Hadishichala river by horses, Then cross picturesque Chkhutnieri pass (2655m) - which offers great views of surrounding mountains and the Adishi glacier. Then you will descend to Khalde village which was a hero village, the only village to stand against occupation in the 19th century.

Overnight in Iprali

(Distance - 12.4km, Elevation Gain - 677m and Elevation Loss - 436m)

In the morning we will leave Iprali village, descending below In Davberi village of Kala community, Then we will follow the path to Ushguli - one of the highest settlements of Europe with a permanent population. Ushguli is the face of Svanetian culture, there you will find Svanetian towers, which are listed in the Unesco world heritage, used as defensive structures, behind which is the highest peak in Georgia, Shkhara (5193m) .  We will enjoy the scenery looking at Shkhara summit from the Virgin Mary small church – Lamaria.

This day we will transfer to Mestia.

Overnight in Mestia/Ushguli.

(Distance – 5km, Elevation Gain/Loss – 600m, very difficult)

On this day groups can separate, those who want to challenge climb to a peak near Mestia where we will take a local car to the Koruldi lakes (2600m) and climb to the Koruldi ridge (3340m). From the top you will have a perfect view towards Ushba summit (4710m) - two-headed devil also called Georgia’s matterhorn.

Those who want an easy day can visit one of the best museums of Georgia - Mestia Museum where you can explore a rich collection of icons, jewelry and ornaments. Also they can take hatsvali cable cars for the views towards the summits. At the end of the day all of them get prepared for the barbeque (shashlik) party.

If you will prefer to stay in Ushguli overnight then day 5 can be changed as follows:

Lamaria ridge hike (Distance - 7km, Elevation Gain/Loss - 1000m).

This day you will start hiking from the guesthouse to the Lamaria ridge. You will enjoy the best views to Svaneti ridge, Shkhara summit, Benzengi wall and many other notable peaks of Svaneti part of Caucasus mountain range. At the end of the day you will be transferred to Latali village and have a barbeque party. </p.

Overnight in Latali.

(Distance - 13km, Elevation Gain/Loss - 1220m)

Hikers will reach Mkheri church(2473m) on Svaneti Range. They will enjoy the view of Lahili summit and its glaciers from the very top of the mountain. This place can be considered as one of the most beautiful places in Georgia. Views are better in the morning, so the group will need to start hiking very early in the morning. There is an annual festival being held at the Mkheri church in July.

Finally we will return to the village where we will have an amazing evening - live music and dance from local singers.

Overnight in Latali

(Horse riding Distance - 6km, Elevation Gain/Loss - 250m, Possible to extend by extra 4km)

Our hiking tour in Svaneti continues to Shdugra waterfalls - Georgia's one of the tallest waterfalls which makes a constant rainbow. First we will ride the horses and reach the border. Then we will hike to the waterfall (Distance - 2.7km Elevation Gain/Loss - 360m)

In the evening we will transfer to Zudidi from where we will take a train to Tbilisi.

In the capital we will have a late dinner and finally transfer to the airport.
