    Tbilisi Tour

    We will start our food and wine tour from Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia which is a combination of European, Asian, and Caucasian cultures. Newly built pedestrian glass and steel bridge with bow design - Peace Bridge is an attraction that should not be missed in Tbilisi. It will be our first destination.

    Our next destination will be the Mother of Georgia’s monument. We will reach this sightseeing with a cable car. The monument is located on a hill overlooking the entire city. After enjoying the view we will visit Narikala Fortress - the main defensive structure of the city.

    The main symbol of Tbilisi is the sulfur baths so this will be our next destination. Ottoman’s period bathhouses and sulfur smell around will immediately make you feel the vibe of old Tbilisi. Through this amazing atmosphere, we will reach Leghvtakhevi - a 14 m high waterfall in the heart of Tbilisi and enjoy the views of old Tbilisi balconies in the shade and fury of the waterfall.

    The day will end with Georgian food, Georgian wine and art. You will taste delicious dishes accompanied by Georgian music and traditional dances.

    Jvari Monastery – Military Road Sights - Gergeti Trinity Church

    Our first stop will be the UNESCO protected Jvari Monastery (6th century). Jvari is also very popular because of its magnificent view. From here you will see the confluence of two rivers and the first capital Mtskheta.

    Next we will make our way to Kazbegi via a military highway. Our first stop will be Jinvali Water Reservoir - the lake, which was created during the Soviet era. The blue color of the water and the greenery of the beautiful nature create an amazing contrast.

    Very soon after continuing the road, we will visit Ananuri Fortress – a castle and a seat of the Eristavis (Dukes) of Aragvi. The architectural treasure of the feudal times in Georgia is located next to the Jinvali Reservoir.

    Our next destination will be wonders of Georgian nature. The merge of two rivers – black and white Aragvi. They merge but the colors still contrast with each other. After this sightseeing, we will reach the Friendship Monument located near Gudauri resort and Jvari Pass (2379m). Also called as Gudauri panorama, It depicts scenes from the history of Georgia and neighboring Russia. This place is distinguished by a panorama of the Devil's Valley in the Caucasus mountains. Fresh air, enormous round stone arch, huge mountains - all of this will make you wonder if you really are on planet Earth.

    Later we can continue our journey to Kazbegi, where we may need to change cars to reach Gergeti Trinity Church. The temple is on the top of the mountain (2170m), from where the view of the whole region and there is iconic Mt Kazbek (5.047m) peak -3rd highest mountain in Georgia behind. It’s symbolic viewpoint where you will feel the tranquility, the magic of the Caucasus Mountains, gorgeous panorama, and best in any season.

    Gveleti Waterfall – Khinkali Workshop – Truso Valley

    We will continue our tour in the Caucasus Mountains. With narrow paths, big mountains we will reach Gveleti Waterfall. A huge waterfall creates a beautiful landscape, and wind-sprayed water will boost your energy. Then we will have Georgian traditional food Khinkali workshop. Locals will show you a unique technique of making traditional Georgian food - meat dumplings (Khinkali). You will be able to do it yourself and learn more about Georgian mountain culture and drink a few shots of Georgian vodka (Chacha).

    After lunch we will walk in Truso Valley - The heart of the Georgian mountains. Mineral springs, amazing landscapes, giant mountains - all in one valley. If we say that there is freedom in the mountains, you will find it in the valley of Truso.

    Admired by the beauty of the Georgian mountains, we will return to Tbilisi or Mtskheta old town to our hotel.

    Telavi – Tsinandali Palace – Visit Chacha (Vodka) Maker

    We will start the day on the way to Telavi through the Gombori pass enjoying the views of the Caucasus mountain range. Telavi is the historical center of the Kakheti region famous for its ancient wine-making culture. We will have a walk through the old streets of Telavi, feel its atmosphere and take pictures of the town’s unique architecture.

    We will visit the Telavi food market, where you can buy Georgian fruits and vegetables, fresh cheese and Georgian bread, also famous Georgian sweets called Churckhela made of walnuts and grape juice.

    Then we will visit the huge, 900-year-old tree, which is located in the city center and walk in the streets of old Telavi. We will have an opportunity to visit the Nadikvari Park and the Palace of Kakhetian kings.

    Our next destination is Tsinandali Palace that surprises all guests with its beauty with its beautiful garden and winery. Later, you will be able to experience Georgian food and wine tour  – at a local chacha (vodka) maker. Toasts, dishes, barbeque and songs will create unforgettable memories.

    Qvevri Workshop – Yogurt House – Gremi Castle – Kvareli Tunnel – Numisi Cellar Museum

    In the morning we will visit one of the few people who still make qvevri - Georgian traditional clay wine storage vessels. We will find out the history and art of qvevri making and taste delicious qvevri wine made by traditional methods.

    The next destination of the visit is Alaverdi Monastery - one of the largest church buildings in Georgia. We will visit Matsoni house next to the monastery where we can taste delicious Georgian food - yogurts made according to old traditions.

    The next stop may be Gremi Castle which was built in the 15th century. One of the unique feature of Georgian churches is that they blend into them. Gremi is one of the great example of that.

    The most important sight of the Georgian wine tour awaits next. We will visit Kvareli Tunnel - soviet time longest wine storage and restaurant where we will have a guided tour and wine tasting.

    Then we will move to the Numisi Cellar Museum where we will hear even more about Georgian food and wine and we will be able to prepare Georgian dishes yourself and taste them.

    The day will finish in Sighnaghi town which is full of beautiful streets, old-style architecture and interesting sightseeings. We will have dinner with unlimited Georgian wine drinking.

    Sighnaghi – David Gareja Cave Town or Lagodekhi National Park

    We will start a day in Sighnaghi, visit its streets, take beautiful photos with colorful carpets hanging on the wall. We will walk on the Sighnaghi walls - historical walls that surround the whole town. We will look down to the huge Alazani Valley and enjoy the beauty of Kakheti.

    After this we will have two alternatives. The first alternative will be horse riding in Lagodekhi National Park. The route is 7km one way. Later we will have a lunch in a small local brewery and return to Tbilisi.

    The second alternative will be visit to the small wine cellar in Sagarejo area, lunch at local family in Badiauri where they make delicious cheese and David Gareja Monastery visit.

    David Gareja is a cave town and a spiritual sanctuary for monks. On the edge of Georgia, this amazing complex is like an oasis in the desert. Visit the complex, hear stories about its significance in the past here and enjoy the scenery.

    Borjomi – Winery in Baghdati – Kutaisi

    We will take the road to western Georgia and visit Borjomi Park first. The park is famous for its beautiful landscapes and mineral water, which is sold in the global market. In the park, you will find a waterfall, river, statues and attractions. For lunch, we will visit the small village winery in Baghdati region. Here wines are lighter, more fruity and more similar to European.

    After that, we will visit the city of Kutaisi, once the capital of Georgia and one of the largest cities. Kutaisi is distinguished by its sights and beautiful streets. In the evening you will have dinner in a Georgian restaurant, taste delicious dishes and drinks. Possible to select the restaurant with musical program.

    Gelati Monastery – Katskhi Pillar – Chiatura

    Founded in 1106, the Monastery of Gelati is a masterpiece of Georgian architecture. We will visit Gelati Monastery, which is under UNESCO protection, as the object of the cultural and historical heritage of the world. Here is the tomb of David The Builder – The greatest king of Georgia.

    We will drive from Kutaisi to Chiatura. First we will visit the most distinguished church in Georgia, which is located on the 40 meters high Katskhi pillar and resembles the Greek Meteora, then the city of Chiatura. The city is famous for its Soviet-era buildings: you will find Soviet cable cars and other sightseeings that are part of Georgia's history. We will return to Tbilisi at the end of the day.
